Web Seek Pro Solutions

Difficulties in downloading or running software are often related to Internet connections and computer problems. Let's check first to see if Web Seek Pro's executable file (wsp.exe) is where it should be. RIGHT click on Start, Explore. Double click on C: (or your hard-drive letter), Program Files, Web Seek Pro. If you don't see a folder by that name, the program is not installed on your computer. Please redownload the file at http://www.free-people-search-engines.com/wsp.exe or http://www.4www.us/download/wsp.exe.

If wsp.exe is in that folder, RIGHT click on wsp.exe and select properties. The 'size field' should show 2,600,960 bytes. If the number is smaller than that, the download was not successful and needs to be repeated. Please redownload the file at http://www.free-people-search-engines.com/wsp.exe or http://www.4www.us/download/wsp.exe.

If the file isn't there, right click on the Start Button and select Find (or Search). Enter wsp.exe as the file to find. Change the 'Look in' field to your hard-drive letter designation and click Find (or Search). If the file is found, double click on it to install the program. If it is not found, it needs to be downloaded. Please redownload the file at http://www.free-people-search-engines.com/wsp.exe or http://www.4www.us/download/wsp.exe.

Restoring Your Computer

Even 'brand new' computers can have problems. All it takes is one bad hardware component to make a PC 'act funny' and not run programs properly or at all. Regular 110-volt electricity is very unstable. It oscillates up and down in strength, so for starters, if you don't have a 'surge protector' between the electrical outlet and your PC, your PC's power supply is receiving a very erratic and unstable source of power.

Beyond that, most computer problems are caused by lack of disk space or low system resources - the amount of RAM memory available to run programs. As data and programs are added, edited and deleted from your hard drive, your computer becomes confused, runs out of resources and at the very least, needs to be completely shut off and restarted. Try that as a first remedy. Shut the PC off and turn it back on.

The next culprits which cause computer problems are viruses. If you download from the Internet and/or receive email and you don't have or don't run virus-protection software like Norton, you most assuredly have viruses and corrupted files. If the corrupted files are in the Windows operating system, some programs might run while others won't.

Computer Maintenance

As a side note, if you are unfamiliar with how to use your computer, you may reach Microsoft customer support at http://www.support.microsoft.com or refer to the extensive Window Help Manual by clicking on Start, Help.

Let's see if we can bring your computer back to its factory condition - a state that is necessary to allow any software program to function properly. Please complete all of these steps before attempting to download Web Seek Pro:

  • Scan your hard drive for viruses.
  • Delete all temporary files.
  • Delete all .bak and select .log files.
  • Delete all unnecessary programs.
  • Remove programs from the Start Up Menu.
  • Delete entries in 'My Download Files'.
  • Delete all unzipped files.
  • Empty the Recycle Bin.
  • Run a thorough scandisk.
  • Defrag the C: drive.

If that all sounds like Greek, then your computer probably has low resources (memory), corrupted files and wasted disk space.

Now that your computer is reborn, reboot your computer and reinstall Web Seek Pro from this location:
